Koovs links with Simply Be in partnership deal

Last week retail N Brown said it was forging more partnerships with external e-tailers for its power brand line-up and on Monday Koovs, the AIM-listed India-focused e-commerce business, said it would start selling N Brown’s Simply Be offer.

Simply Be, like Koovs, targets a young, fashion-focused customer, but one who is looking for larger sizes. This is key growth area with the availability of on-trend pieces in sizes 16 and over still much more limited than those in smaller sizes.

Koovs, which has its HQ and design team in the UK, sells western-style fashion in India. It will launch a Simply Be capsule collection from December with a more extensive range for SS18 set to roll out in March 2018.

This announcement comes as Koovs gears up for growth. The firm’s planned distribution in the UAE through Souq.com is well advanced and is expected to go live within the next three weeks.
 
Last week N Brown was upbeat as it delivered its first-half results and this was partly due to the raft of new partnerships to sell capsule collections online. As well as the Koovs deal unveiled Monday, it said it would be selling Simply Be on Amazon Fashion and Namshi. Meanwhile its Jacamo menswear brand will be available on the Debenhams website and on Amazon Fashion.
