Burberry expands its men’s studio
May 19, 2014
Burberry’s design director of menswear from 2007-2011, Ben Dickens, returned to the house’s studio in April, this time as vice president of menswear design. In the interval, he served as artistic director of the British streetwear brand Farrell, which closed last year.

The appointment of Ben Dickens to the creative direction of menswear follows the promotion of Luke Goidadin last November to chief design officer after many years at the head of womenswear and childrenswear. Christopher Bailey decided to create the post in anticipation of the expansion of his responsibilities at Burberry due to the unexpected departure of Angela Ahrendts, who left the company in order to join Apple.
Now chief creative and chief executive officer of Burberry, Christopher Bailey, has surrounded himself with two longtime collaborators. The next Burberry men’s show will take place in London on June 17.
