Published
Feb 5, 2016

For its 2015 fiscal year, South Korean cosmetics giant AmorePacific (LaNeige, Lolita Lempicka, etc.) reported a 20.1% increase in sales, reaching €3.6 billion (KRW5.66 trillion). In the period in question, AmorePacific's EBIT reached €690 million (KRW913 billion), equivalent to a 38.6% rise, while EBITDA amounted to €509 million (KRW673.9 billion), for a 35.5% growth.

Bolstered by the increased number of international travellers, sales in duty-free stores amounted to €756 million, another boost for domestic sales.

Indeed the domestic market, representing 74.7% of sales, recorded a 17% growth for the group. In terms of export sales, they jumped up by 44.4%, buttressed by Asia's 51% rise, and by the America region. In Europe however, sales have declined, due to a decrease in consumption expenditure and the euro's depreciation.
