Alberta Ferretti returns to Milan with quasi-couture line
Alberta Ferretti has announced a major show for 13th January in Milan, on the eve of the men's Fashion Week. It will be a big event for the luxury women's ready-to-wear label belonging to Italian fashion group Aeffe: after showing for two seasons in Paris, Alberta Ferretti will present its quasi-couture collection, Limited Edition, and the winter 2017-18 pre-collection in the same show.
It will be the first time the two collections will be showing together. As the eponymous designer explained in a press release, "nowadays you need to be able to take unexpected decisions, this is why I have opted for one single show."
The Limited Edition collection was launched in 2011, and is distinctive for its couture vibe. It consists of lavishly decorated evening and cocktail dresses and has become increasingly important over the course of the seasons, going hand in hand with Aeffe's repositioning strategy towards the high-end segment.
The show will be held close to Milan's central luxury district, in a historic building on Via Donizetti, home to the group's headquarters.
