Dusseldorf trade shows GDS and tag it! reported disappointing visitor numbers during their last edition held in July. With only 12,500 retailers attending the three-day event, the show organisers said they were not “satisfied” and that they would hold discussions with industry partners on the optimisation of the shows.

The fashion and footwear fairs were held this season for the first time from Tuesday to Thursday on 26-28 July. 740 brands presented their Spring Summer collections at GDS, while 180 exhibitors showcased their shoes and accessories ranges at tag it!.

Highlights of the shows included the 5th edition of Fashion Blogger Café, trend workshops and fashion shows, including the GDS opening show with the best styles from the STUDIO area presented by model Alena Gerber.

The event also held a successful series of talks on social media strategies by styleranking.

The next editions of GDS and tag it! is set to take place from 7 to 9 February, 2017 and from 25 to 27 July 2017.
