Specialty footwear and lifestyle chain The Athlete's Foot (TAF)  announced on Wednesday global retail revenues totalled $555 million in 2022, up 10% from 2021.

The Switzerland and United States headquartered company said 2022 saw t "successfully navigated a difficult retail environment plagued by supply chain challenges, rising inflation, socioeconomic and political unrest," according to to press release.

"Although the retail landscape presented some unique challenges in 2022, we are extremely enthusiastic about TAF's financial performance in 2022 and proud to celebrate the outstanding performance of our community-based initiatives, programs, and partnerships with our partners," said Param Singh, owner and CEO of Arklyz Group, which owns TAF globally.

Looking ahead, the company said it is "looking forward to a solid and successful start to 2023 powered by a host of new brand partnerships, store locations and most importantly, the spring launch of TAF's 3.0 omnichannel store concept."

Specifically, TAF 3.0 looks set to elevate the consumer experience and continue to drive hyper-localized product assortment and community engagement efforts. In addition, TAF will increase its apparel capacity through new store concepts and introduce new brand partnerships with Polo, Sergio Tacchini, Crocs, Ethika, and other premium streetwear brands.

The earnings update comes on the back of TAF's announcement in January that it had appointed Darius Billings to the role of VP of marketing, community engagement and StAART, and appointed Cassidy Dansberry to the role of marketing manager, effective immediately.

The Athlete's Foot sneaker and streetwear chain currently has 550 stores and e-commerce shops in more than 30 countries worldwide. Its global headquarters are located in Stans, Switzerland, and Atlanta, GA, in the United States.
