Dekker Olifanta B.V., the company behind Protest Sportswear, has said that it obtained the trademark rights to enter the American market in 2017. The company described the planned expansion as ‘a wonderful opportunity to further expand its success.’

The business strategy for the American market will be based on online sales. Peter Korver will act as part-time consultant and develop Protest’s business plan during the coming four months

The twenty-five year old brand is currently available in 25 countries in Europe. Outside of Europe Protest Sportswear operates in Russia and Australia. Since 2010 Protest has also been active in China and Taiwan. In the Netherlands, Protest Sportswear is available via 250 retailers, including: Perry Sport, Intersport, Sport 2000, Topshelf and Kinderen van Belle. Protest offers collections for men, women and children.
