Singer Halsey teams up with YSL Beauté

She has conquered the music industry, and now Halsey has her ambitions set on the makeup business.

The US singer has been snapped up by Yves Saint Laurent Beauté to create makeup looks for the brand, Allure reports. According to the publication, the star will showcase various looks to her 6.5 million followers on Instagram, on a monthly basis.

"Recording artist, Halsey, well-known for her music and poetry, will soon be working with YSL Beauté to create makeup looks that speak to the millennial consumer," the brand told Allure. "While everyone knows about her chart-topping music, her talent as a makeup artist is a secret to many. Not for long as YSL Beauté taps into Halsey's unique vision of beauty and offering her fans makeup tips and tricks."

According to the reports, the collaboration began Wednesday at the AmfAR Gala in New York, for which Halsey rocked a bold red lip with a smoky eye, for a look that was both old-school glamour and fearlessly modern.

Halsey joins a star-studded lineup of creatives that are currently working with or have teamed up with the beauty giant in the past, including Zoë Kravitz and Adam Levine.
