Schuh names chief marketing officer

Footwear business Schuh has announced the appointment of Alice Cleary as its new chief marketing officer.

Cleary was most recently global marketing director of Nude by Nature, an Australian make-up brand operating in Europe and Asia. She has also previously held marketing roles at bridalwear brand Sass & Bide, Australian retail company Pretty Girl Fashion Group, footwear brand Otto and Littlewoods.com.

At Schuh, Cleary will focus on strengthening the brand’s holistic marketing, social media, PR, CRM and visual merchandising activities.

Commenting on her appointment, Schuh managing director Temple said: “We are fortunate to have a great new dynamic that brings a wealth of experience to our business. Alice’s appointment will further cement Schuh’s position as one of the UK’s leading fashion brands.”

With more than 118 stores across the UK and a selection of leading brands including Converse, Vans, Nike and Adidas as well as its own shoe label, Schuh is a leading footwear retailer.
