Salsa opens new flagship store in Barcelona's Paseo de Gracia
Portuguese denim brand, Salsa, is expanding its commercial presence in Spain with the opening of a new flagship store in Barcelona. The store is located at 8-10 Paseo de Gracia, one of the city's main shopping districts.
The store, which opened on March 31, is "the first international location to feature Salsa's new brand image," said the company. The move highlights the brand's dedication to Spain, one of its key markets, and complements the launch of its flagship store on Madrid's Gran Vía in 2020.
Moreover, as part of a strategic move, the brand recently announced its collaboration with The Villã Concept, a brand founded by the Villarreal sisters, to launch a four-piece capsule collection. The line will be available at select stores and on both brands' websites.
In Spain, Salsa has over one hundred locations, including both standalone stores and corners within El Corte Inglés. The brand has a strong presence in Catalonia, and just a year ago, opened a store in the Parc Central shopping center in Tarragona.
Salsa Jeans was founded in 1994 in Vila Nova de Famalicão, a town located in northern Portugal. The brand expanded into the Spanish market in the 1990s and now operates in over 40 countries worldwide, with a distribution network spanning more than 2,000 points of sale. The brand is currently in a phase of expansion, with a particular focus on building its presence and growth in the Middle East.
