Ralph Lauren unveiled this week the Team USA closing ceremony parade uniforms for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing created with a commitment to sustainability.

The uniforms are characterized by a buffalo plaid design and a navy blue, and includes a hooded puffer jacket; a fleece pant for men and a fleece legging for women, an intarsia turtleneck sweater, as well as accessories such as gloves, boots, and a hat. Ralph Lauren, who has been designing the uniforms for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, since 2008, proudly manufactured each item in the uniform in the United States.

As a nod to sustainability, the American fashion designer worked to use more sustainable materials and manufacturing practices including with items made from recycled polyester, recycled down and wool sourced from Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certified U.S grown wool. The commitment is in line with Ralph Lauren’s promise to use 100 percent RWS certified or recycled wool by 2025.

“Ralph Lauren is incredibly proud to outfit Team USA in apparel that has been designed with integrity and purpose. For these Games, the design aesthetic of our uniform represents a modern look that feels distinctly new and fresh, created with sustainability in mind,” said David Lauren, chief branding and innovation officer, Ralph Lauren.

“We are highly invested in scaling sustainability solutions that have the potential to significantly reduce our and the wider industry’s impact, and we are proud to have created thoughtful apparel for Team USA that embodies this mission.”

Ralph Lauren's athlete ambassadors include Rico Roman, Hilary Knight, Aja L Evans, Jason Brown, and Jamie Anderson. A portion of Ralph Lauren Team USA Collection sales support the United States Olympic and Paralympic Teams.

The closing ceremony parade uniforms are now available for purchase online at ralphlauren.com and will be followed by a collection of villagewear, which is expected to launch in the coming months.
