Pure Origin to kick off new ‘Country Focus’ with Italy

Published
Dec 3, 2018

A selection of Italian manufacturers which supply fabrics and other items to luxury brands such as Prada and Louis Vuitton are coming to the next edition of Pure Origin in February as part of a new ‘Country Focus’.

The sourcing event has announced Italy as the first country to be featured in the series, showcasing some of the best of Italian fashion with leading fabric houses, manufacturers, labelling and packaging companies showcasing their collections.

These will include Tre Gi Srl, which produces outerwear for luxury fashion labels including Christian Dior and Bottega Veneta; Gruppo Mastrotto, one of Italy’s biggest tanneries; and Fabric House, a store selling exclusive premium fabrics. Tessilgraf, one of the largest leaders in trims production for the international fashion industry, will also form part of the line-up.

The Italian companies will join over 200 exhibitors from 13 countries at the sourcing event, which is taking place on 10-12 February alongside Pure London. Garment and fabric suppliers, denim and textile designers and technology brands will come together over three days to present their products to buyers from companies including Asos, White Stuff, Victoria Beckham and Selfridges.

“The global landscape, including Brexit and ongoing trade wars, is clearly impacting the global fashion industry. Our goal for Pure Origin is to help companies promote business amid these global economic and political uncertainties,” commented Julie Driscoll, managing director.

We intend to do this by answering the market’s demand for newness, to create a platform for visitors to meet, network, discuss and hopefully find solutions to the biggest challenges facing them, and to inspire, showcase innovation and advocate best practice to enable growth and stability. Our new Country Focus on Italy will stage the best of Italian design and craftsmanship, and we’re excited to work with our new partners to offer visitors a must-attend event.”

The event will be held at London Olympia in February.
