Première Vision reinforces its international teams

Published
Sep 30, 2011

The textile trade fair organizer has announced the upcoming launch of Première Vision Turkey. Operating from Istanbul, this office intends to support the significant growth that the country is experiencing, including the rapidly growing clothing sector. “Bear in mind that the country’s GDP has grown by 8.8% during the last quarter,” said Philippe Pasquet, CEO of Première Vision. An Istanbul show, however, is not in the works for the time being.

Two other offices will also see their teams grow. The Shanghai branch office is about to increase its personnel from two to four representatives. The aim is to raise awareness of the Première Vision textile fair on Chinese soil with the support of its shareholder GL Events. The Première Vision trade show, which closed yesterday at Villepinte, has already shown a significant rise in Chinese buyers.

Direction by Indigo becomes Indigo New York

This increase has also affected American buyers, whose presence has dwindled as a result of the economic crisis. Led by Thierry Langlais, the New York office of Première Vision Inc also plans to expand its team from two to four persons. The branch was created in order to acquire the local show, Direction, which had temporarily been renamed Direction by Indigo and which, as of next year, will be called "Indigo New York".

In France, Première Vision will bid farewell to its two communication executives. Christiane de Clavière and Marie-Odile Verrier had provided the first press relations for Première Vision and Indigo for many years, first separately and then in tandem since the merger of two shows in 2004. "I imagine this will be an active and well-deserved retirement", said Philippe Pasquet in paying tribute to the work that they have accomplished in recent years.
