Pedro del Hierro makes its debut in Malta

Pedro del Hierro has arrived in a new market. The fashion chain, owned by the Cortefiel Group, has landed in Malta with a display in the country’s only Cortefiel store. 

The Pedro del Hierro display is located in the only Cortefiel establishment in the country, located in the Baystreet shopping center in the city of San Julián. The brand made its debut with its spring/summer 2017 collection. 

As of January, the chain has a new general director, Marie Castellvi-Dépée, who also leads Cortefiel. 

Among the recent changes made by the group are plans to close its least profitable storefronts, which has already affected Pedro del Hierro’s presence in the Cortefiel Group.

Cortefiel began operations in Malta for the first time two years ago, with the opening of its Baystreet location in October 2015. It remains the company’s only location in the country.

The company, which owns the brands Pedro del Hierro, Cortefiel, Springfield, Women’secret and Fifty Factory, has more than 2,000 stores in nearly 90 countries.
