Parisian concept store Nous opens branch on London’s Dover Street

Nous, the concept store first established in rue Cambon in Paris in 2018, has quickly expanded beyond the French capital, and is busy opening new branches in Europe and, soon, the Middle East. The multibrand retailer opened two stores in Switzerland (one in the centre of Geneva, another inside the city’s airport), and has recently opened in London its first UK store. Nous is the brainchild of former staff members of iconic Parisian concept store Colette, which closed down two years ago.

Nous’s first UK store was inaugurated at number 32 on upmarket, directional Dover Street, in London’s Mayfair district. The 100 m2 boutique is located not far from fashion stores like Dover Street Market, Victoria Beckham and Golden Goose, and officially opened to the public on December 2.

The product range on offer is quite similar to that of Nous in Paris: brands like The Good Company, Veja, New Balance, Caaps, Polaroid and Eli Grita, a blend of fashion and accessories, watches, cosmetics and high-tech gadgets.

“At Nous, we feature a contemporary urban range. We don’t limit ourselves to streetwear alone. Our clientèle is very diverse and cosmopolitan,” said Marvin Dein, part of the original Colette team, speaking to FashionNetwork.com a year ago.

Nous is committed to expanding its international footprint, and is planning another opening further afield in the next few weeks, inside the gigantic Dubai Mall in the UAE. Nous provided no further details on this new store, but indicated that a branch in Miami is also on the cards. Something to keep an eye on.
