North face links with Liberty for 'city-ready' print capsule

Outdoor-wear specialist The North Face has linked up with Liberty London for an interesting collab that “brings dramatic Himalyan mountain landscapes to life in a city-ready capsule collection”.

The company has taken the signature, hand-painted fabrics that Liberty has produced since 1875 “to new levels of exploration”, it said, adding that “these beautifully crafted garments seamlessly weave 145 years of expertise with the mountain lifestyle of The North Face”.

The women’s range showcases five key pieces and a variety of accessories to complement. The hero product is the Sierra Down Jacket that has been reimagined with an allover Liberty print while still featuring all the cold-weather-repelling technical features for which The North Face is known.

The company also said the cut and fit of the Sierra is based on the original version from 1968, featuring an oversized fit, patch pockets and drawcord hem.

Also included in the line-up is a Sierra Sherpa Fleece ¼ Zip, Liberty Hoodie, and Liberty Tee, all created with a splash of the bespoke Liberty print. 

Completing the offer is the Liberty field bag, bucket hat, five-panel cap and a toiletry kit.

The collection is available on The North face’s website and in selected brand stores.
