Nike to open at Dundrum Town Centre

Published
Mar 1, 2023

Dundrum Town Centre, Ireland's premier retail and leisure destination, has secured a major attraction. Operator and co-owner Hammerson has announced the world’s largest sportswear brand, Nike, is set to open there this summer.

The new 5,666 sq ft store will become the first ‘Nike Live’ concept in Ireland. Designed to “serve all members and connect the fitness community to the city”, ‘Nike Live’ offers a programme of in-store experiences and tailored offerings with a curated assortment of sport performance apparel, footwear, and accessories.

Connor Owens, Managing Director, Asset Management (Ireland & Scotland), Hammerson, said the new Nike store “marks the continuation of Hammerson’s delivery of world class experiential concepts for our shoppers in Dundrum.

He said the concept store “will offer an interactive, customised retail offering to customers hungry for quality sportswear. Athleisure is a top-performing category across our portfolio, so we’re excited to see how our customers respond to this innovative new concept.”

He added that Dundrum Town Centre’s retail success “goes from strength to strength”, with Brown Thomas, Donnybrook Fair, Watches of Switzerland and Lush all opening new stores over the last 18 months. Meanwhile Penneys -- Primark’s trading name in Ireland -- is set to reopen after committing €14.8 million to a major relocation and expansion at the centre.
