Nicki Minaj and Fendi tease their upcoming fashion collection

With only weeks to go before Fendi drops its collection with the rapper Nicki Minaj, the luxury fashion house has dropped a few hints about what fans can expect.


This week saw Minaj drop a new track, "Fendi," which serves as the theme tune for her upcoming ‘Fendi Prints On' collection and puts the spotlight back on its imminent launch online this October 14. The track can be heard on a campaign video clip that the Italian house has been teasing on Instagram, alongside images shot by photographer Steven Klein.

The capsule collection spans womenswear, menswear and childrenswear co-designed by Minaj, Silvia Venturini Fendi and the label's in-house design team. It places an emphasis on Fendi's ironic and playful DNA, with the house's signature ‘FF' logo featuring heavily throughout.

The pieces are rooted in a futuristic and glamorous color palette of hot pink and silver, with a focus on rich fabrics and shimmering metallics. There are body-hugging silhouettes in the form of cutaway one-pieces and a clinging dress, and oversized fits in the form of big puffa jackets. The collaboration also extends to accessories, with Minaj offering new iterations of Fendi's famous ‘Peekaboo' and ‘Baguette' bags.

Minaj first confirmed rumors about her partnership with Fendi earlier this month, taking to Instagram to share images of the collection with her 106 million followers.
