Meander and Rakha open in London's Seven Dials

The Seven Dials area of Covent Garden is continuing its focus on eco-friendly and indie brands with two openings, Meander Apparel and Rakha.

 

Landlord Shaftesbury described them as “significant sustainable fashion brands” and said their arrival reaffirms Seven Dials “as London’s go-to destination for the conscious consumer”. 
 
Meander is a functional, outdoor clothing retailer and its debut permanent store in England covers 783 sq ft at 18 Earlham Street.

The Scottish brand recently announced a six-figure investment deal that’s funding its expansion and this autumn helped it move from an Edinburgh pop-up to a permanent store and HQ at the city’s North West Circus Place. 
 
It also has a pop-up in Londons’ Spitalfields but the new permanent space in Seven Dials is a significant move for the brand.
 
Meanwhile, responsible contemporary womenswear brand Rakha, has opened its 699 sq ft flagship store at 46 Monmouth Street. The ethically driven retailer’s new flagship store showcases contemporary-yet-classic collections, using only biodegradable materials and working solely with ‘green’ manufacturers across Europe.
 
Both brands cited the overall profile of Seven Dials as being important to them with these new stores.
