Marina Moguš promoted to head key Central Europe ops for Adidas

Published

As Adidas builds on its restructuring programme in Europe, Marina Moguš has been promoted to managing director of its key Central Europe operations. She moves up from the post of general manager of Eastern Europe where she made a "significant contribution to the region's positive development", the sportswear giant said.

The important post not only includes responsibility for its domestic German market but also stretches across operations in Austria, Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Meanwhile, certain markets in Northern and Southern Europe are expected to be added to her remit as the region also restructures, Adidas said.

Before her GM role in Eastern Europe, Moguš held several positions in finance at Adidas and subsidiary Reebok in Germany and the USA.

Meanwhile, the previous head of German operations, Paul Boerboom, will remain with the company as senior vice-president of ‘Global Hype’.

In the interestingly-named and newly-created role, he will be responsible for the exclusive product business, which will focus on "brand attractiveness and franchise management" as part of the group’s new strategic business plan ‘Own the Game’.
