London College of Fashion launches retail tech programme

Published
Feb 5, 2018

London College of Fashion is launching a new project focused on driving innovation in retail technology in partnership with payments provider Klarna.

The programme, led by the Digital Anthropology Lab at the London College of Fashion, will see students work in teams to create innovative solutions to some of the biggest challenges facing fashion retailers.

Supported by Klarna, a group of selected MA students will work alongside a team of experienced designers, educators and technologists as they develop new responses to topics like personalisation, sustainability, supply chain and brand experience.

The projects will be unveiled in an end-of-term showcase.

Wojtek Tusz, LCF Project Lead and Acting Director of the Digital Anthropology Lab commented: “The convergence of fashion and technology has the power to drive change, build a sustainable future and dramatically improve people’s lives. This partnership is a brilliant opportunity for our students to work with an industry innovator like Klarna and explore new frontiers in fashion tech.”

Luke Griffiths, UK General Manager of Klarna, added that the programme will help “the next generation of fashion tech innovators realise their potential”.
