Lolë launches 6th edition of yoga event

Montreal-based women’s activewear brand Lolë will be hosting the 6th edition of the Lolë White Tour this summer.

The tour, which invites yogis and yoginis to join an outdoor community-powered yoga session dedicated to peace, will take place in both Toronto on July 27, and Montreal on August 12. Each event is lead by yoga instructors and is set to live music.

For the sixth edition, celebrity husband and wife yoga instructor team Colleen Saidman Yee and Rodney Yee will lead the yoga sessions in Toronto, while yoga instructors Nadia Bonenfant and Selena Isles will lead those in Montreal. Both events will be set to live music by Montreal artist Beyries.

The event, which first launched in Montreal in 2012 and later in Toronto in 2016, attracted over 7,000 yogis to its Montreal event last year, and over 3,000 yogis to the Toronto edition. Participants are asked to dress in white, the color of peace, for the unifying yoga experience.

The initiative is inline with similar community focused events that other activewear brands are following.

Fellow Canadian activewear brand Lululemon Athletica hosts a number of activities such as running groups in various neighbourhouds across North America, while Canadian brand RYU Apparel Inc. also hosts a number classes and bootcamp training sessions throughout the year for clients.

Following the success of the Lolë White Tour, in 2016, Lolë launched the Lolë White Tour On The Road, a series of community-powered local yoga sessions organized in cities across the globe, including over 50 locations in Canada, the U.S. and Europe. Most recently, the event made several stops across Canada, as well as abroad on June 14.

More tour dates for the Lolë White Tour on the Road are expected to be added to the website as they are confirmed.
