Kering and Parsons The New School for Design have announced the names of the two winners of the annual “Empowering Imagination” competition for Parsons design students. Earning top honors were Harim Jung for her women’s collection and Yunxiang Zhou for her men’s collection. Harim Jung from South Korea and Yunxiang Zhou, born in China, have earned themselves internships in one of the Kering’s luxury or sports & lifestyle brands. The two will also each receive a personalized mentoring session with Style.com. Plus, their work will be exhibited at Barneys New York on Madison Avenue from May 28 to June 10 and at the Parsons Fashion Benefit on May 22, 2013.

Parsons The New School of Design has trained the likes of Donna Karan, Tom Ford, Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, Jason Wu, Proenza Schouler, Derek Lam and many other leading designers. The school is opening a new campus in Paris and will host “summer classes” starting this year in its facilities on rue Saint-Roch in the 1st arrondissement.
