Sustainable fashion platform Fashion for Good has added five new companies to its Scaling Programme. The platform chose the companies for "offering innovative and game-changing solutions.”

The new partners joining the Scaling Programme are: Ecovative, which focuses on advancing sustainable fabrication by using their Mycelium Biofabrication PlatformTM; cotton reformer Natural Fiber Welding; apparel repairer The Renewal Workshop; SeaChange Technologies Inc, maker of one of the world’s first mechanical, non-membrane, zero-liquid-discharge desalination systems; and Yerdle Recommerce, developer of white-label resale channels that allow brands to buy back and resell used items.

As part of the program, the companies will now have the opportunity to connect with brands, investors and manufacturers to help them further develop their innovations. The Fashion for Good Scaling Programme provides support for a period of 18 months.

Katrin Ley, managing director at Fashion for Good, commented: “It’s exciting to have such a compelling portfolio of innovators in our Scaling Programme! We now have fourteen diverse and forward-thinking innovators on the verge of mainstreaming. Together, they reimagine how fashion is designed, made, worn and reused.”

Companies that previously joined the Fashion for Good Scaling Programme are: Ambercycle, BEXT360, ColorZen, Softwear, Spinnova, Tamicare, The Infinited Fiber Company, Tyton Biosciences and Worn Again.

Fashion for Good launched in Amsterdam in 2017 by founding partner, fashion retailer C&A. The platform’s programs are also supported by corporate partners Galeries Lafayette Group, Kering and Zalando, as well as organisations including the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.

On 5 October, Fashion for Good unveiled the Fashion for Good Experience, the world’s first interactive tech museum dedicated to sustainable fashion innovation. The platform also recently announced a partnership with British luxury label Stella McCartney.
