Fenwick links with Front Row for rental service

UK department store group Fenwick has moved into the luxury rental space, launching an exclusive service with clothing hire specialist Front Row London. The collaboration opened at its London, Bond Street, flagship store Wednesday and rolled out to its Newcastle flagship on Thursday.

Fenwick said it has “curated an exclusive edit” from Front Row’s extensive collection, featuring hundreds of styles - from emerging names to big-hitters, including Fendi, Gucci and Chanel.

The offer covers ready-to-wear and occasion pieces, with a focus on runway trends. Prices start at £42.

Pieces can be rented for 3-5 days, and come with an “easy and convenient return policy”.

Leo Fenwick, Head of Brand at Fenwick, said: “Fenwick is launching this rental service with Front Row as part of a global shift to a more circular fashion future. By choosing to rent through Fenwick, customers are helping to extend and enrich the life of the garments, whilst reducing their impact on the planet. As a result, they are also adding to the story and memories each piece holds.”

The launch comes as more and more retailers and brands move to offer more eco-focused services like rental and resale. And with the current cost-of-living crisis, it's likely that such services will be in even higher demand.
