Fashion trade fair Moda unveils This is Me campaign

Published
Dec 5, 2018

Birmingham’s Moda trade show has announced that its February edition will focus on “real fashion for real people” under its new This is Me campaign.

Moda

The theme will celebrate the people working hard behind their brands, as well as consumers of all sizes and lifestyles, and define different aspects of the upcoming fair such as the catwalk runway shows.

“Serving the fashion industry for so many years, Moda has carved a niche offering real fashion for real people and in 2019, kicking off with the February show, we will celebrate the people behind the brands, the people behind the stores and turn the spotlight onto the real lifestyles shaping the demands of today’s real consumers,” Julie Driscoll, managing director of ITE Group’s fashion portfolio commented.

“Key to our new manifesto is the Elastic Generation; a generation reinventing life for the over 50, leaving age behind and living according to how they feel. Bigger spenders than the under-50s but underserved by high street fashion.”

The campaign will see Moda share real-life stories of the people who make the event and its local community, while the catwalk shows will become more size inclusive by showcasing the collections on a variety of body shapes.

The theme will also guide this season’s content programme, with talks and seminars about the Elastic Generation and expert advice on fit and sizing, how to dress every body shape and a stylist’s view of the new collections catering for the over-50s.

The next Moda will take place at the NEC Birmingham on 17-19 February 2019.
