Etsy names Rachel Glaser CFO

Etsy has appointed Rachel Glaser its new Chief Financial Officer. Glaser has over 30 years experience in similar executive roles.

Chad Dickerson, Etsy’s CEO and Chair, spoke of Glaser's experience, saying, "Rachel has a long track record of success as a senior finance executive and has gained broad experience across a variety of consumer-facing, publicly-traded companies. She has also helped scale marketplaces that empower artisans around the world. Rachel not only possesses the right skills to take Etsy's financial operations to the next level, but she also brings a passion for furthering the Etsy mission and nurturing our vibrant community. I look forward to Rachel's contributions as we continue to execute on our strategy that we believe will deliver long-term value to all of our stakeholders."

Glaser will take over for Kristina Salen, who stepped down from Etsy on March 31. Salen had been with the company since 2013. Glaser will begin her new position on June 1.

Glaser most recently served as the CFO of internet company Leaf Group, where she spent two years. Prior to this, she served at Realtor.com’s subsidiary Move as CFO. Before this position, she acted as the Senior Vice President, Operations Finance at Yahoo and has a 20-year career at The Walt Disney Company in a variety of roles.
