Esprit opens flagship store in New York

Born in San Francisco in 1968, Esprit has now opened its fifth and biggest flagship store in the United States, a market which currently represents 1.5% of its turnover. In the six month period from the 1st of July the brand took in €27 million in the USA, compared with €155 million in France alone.

“We are very enthusiastic about the idea of presenting the brand in such a manner, showing how we have changed and grown over the years, with a large American influence at the design level,” specified John Gunn, President of Esprit in the Americas.

Situated on 34th Street in Manhattan, the boutique covers some 1,700 metres squared and houses the brand’s Casual and Collection labels, as well as the EDC and De.corp lines.

The Esprit network counts 830 retail stores and 12,900 commercial stands across the world.
