Drake opens flagship OVO store in Toronto

Drake is once again leaving his mark on his hometown of Toronto with the opening of a second store location of his brand October’s Very Own (OVO).
 

The Canadian rapper chose Yorkdale Shopping Centre to open a flagship store earlier this month, during the same weekend as OVOFEST. The 1,600-square-foot store is the rapper’s fourth global location and it opened to a huge crowd.
 
The new flagship location features marble and metal detailing and is home to a variety of OVO products including OVO-branded apparel such as hoodies, long sleeve t-shirts and jogging pants. The store will equally offer luxury apparel, capsule collections and exclusive drops from OVO as they roll out.

 
Drake’s first OVO store opened in Toronto in December 2014. Other locations include Los Angeles and New York, which opened in December 2015 and December 2016 respectively.

The shopping mall located in Toronto might seem like an unlikely destination for Drake’s brand, but the shopping center has recently housed a number of first-to-market stores and has also been recognized as Canada's most productive mall. 
 
The store is expected to draw younger shoppers to Yorkdale as exclusive OVO products drop throughout the year including collaboration pieces with various designers.
