Clearpay hits 2 million active UK customers, launches campaign

Buy-now-pay-later specialist Clearpay said it has now attracted two million active customers in the UK as it launched its first multi-million-pound global brand campaign, called ‘Pay Better’.

The campaign aims to empower people to “not just pay later but pay better through having the freedom and flexibility to pay over six weeks and never pay interest”. It centres on ways consumers can “reclaim control of their financial lives through responsible spending”.

Clearpay said the campaign, which runs until mid-July, is timed with reopening of British retail and includes "a multi-million pound investment in innovative digital, social and out-of-home creative”. This includes high-impact billboards, taxi wraps, bus wraps and more.

The campaign is being released in more than 17 markets worldwide, and in the UK will take in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Nottingham and more key locations.

Clearpay’s head of UK, Rich Bayer, said: “All of this comes just as we are reaching our two-year anniversary in the UK. We are excited by the growth and opportunity in this market, and look forward to continuing to offer a way to pay that empowers customers to budget and pursue financial wellness”.
