Ciara unveils LITA womenswear brand

Grammy award-winning singer Ciara has launched LITA by Ciara, a sustainable women’s fashion label seeking to provide affordable luxury.

Launched as part of The House of LR&C, the fashion house co-founded by Ciara with her husband – NFL player Russell Wilson – and former Lululemon CEO Christine M. Day in 2020, LITA by Ciara is the company’s first dedicated womenswear brand.
 
“Fashion has always been my avenue for creative self-expression, and throughout my journey, I’ve always been looking for a brand that’s a one-stop-shop, from investment pieces to budget-friendly items,” explained Ciara in a release. “My goal is to reach the modern woman by creating a brand that gives her everything she needs in one place, her best friend in fashion, to help her create looks for all the moments in her life.”

The debut collection from the label, the initials of which stand for “Love is the Answer,” takes its inspiration from the black king cheetah. This is translated into a signature print seen in knitwear, dresses and accessories, as well as the Wildcat Jacket, one of the collection’s headline pieces.
 
Other highlights include the Amour Coat in faux fur jersey, the Lover Shirt Jacket in lamb papery, the 90’s-inspired Varsity Tour Jacket and the Leader Track Pant in stretch leather.
 
As with all brands operated by The House of LR&C, sustainability and impact is a major focus for LITA. More than 70% of its first collection has been made with materials with a reduced environmental impact, including organic cotton and recycled cashmere, nylon and polyester.
 
In addition, 3% of net revenue from every purchase of the brand’s pieces is donated to the Why Not You Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting local, national and global programs that aim to empower girls and young women.
 
LITA’s full debut collection can be purchased online via the The House of LR&C and Nordstrom e-commerce platforms. It is also available at Nordstrom’s NYC flagship, as well as at the department store’s locations in Downtown Seattle, Scottsdale Fashion Square, The Grove, and Phipps Plaza. Footwear and accessories from the collection are on sale at the Nordstrom locations at Michigan Avenue, Bellevue, and Houston Galleria.
 
LITA by Ciara joins The House of LR&C’s existing brand portfolio, which currently consists of menswear label Good Man Brand and streetwear-focused Human Nation.
