Chalayan chooses London for its first boutique

Hussein Chalayan's first boutique is about to open. It will be launched in London on 21st September, during the British capital's fashion week.

Located at 2 Bourdon Street, Mayfair, a posh neighbourhood home to niche brands and art galleries, the 65 sq m boutique will showcase Chalayan's men's and women's ready-to-wear lines, and will also act as venue for events and cultural initiatives, the fashion label announced in a press release. 

The interiors were designed under the creative direction of Hussein Chalayan, working with architect Zoe Smith of Zcd Architects, who breathed life into the unconventional Anglo-Cypriot designer's vision.

"We're delighted to open our first flagship store in London. For me, London is the world's top metropolis, it's where I grew up. I owe London my development as a designer," Husseyn Chalayan has commented, underlining how the boutique "truly reflects our philosophy and ethics."
