Carhartt and '47 expand headwear collection

Michigan-based workwear company Carhartt and sport lifestyle brand '47 have expanded their Outwork x Outroot partnership and will now offer hats for all 30 Major League Baseball teams.


The collection will now include hats featuring the logos of all 30 Major League Baseball teams - Carhartt


The collection includes three styles of hats available in Carhartt's signature brown, navy and black. Models offered include structured and unstructured curved brim adjustable styles, as well as a structured flat brim snapback.

Explaining the collaboration in a release, Tony Ambroza, chief brand officer at Carhartt said, "There has always been a natural connection between work and sports."

Carhartt experimented with the partnership last year when it launched hats with logos for teams based in Boston and Detroit. This year the collection will be offered nationwide with all team logos included in the assortment.

"Expanding this partnership and listening to our fans when they asked for their hometown team to be represented in this collaboration is really rewarding," said Steven D'Angelo, co-owner of '47.

For an experiential activation, Carhartt and '47 have hidden sets of tickets to Opening Day nearby the stadiums of the 15 teams that will play home games to open the season. On March 29th, which is Opening Day, a player from each team will release a clue which should guide fans to the tickets.

Carhartt is a family owned company that was founded in 1889. It has over 4,700 employees globally.

'47 is a sports-focused lifestyle brand based in Boston. It is a partner of Major League Baseball, the National Football League, the National Hockey League and the National Basketball Association. It has 900 collegiate sports partners and 350 employees worldwide.

The Carhartt and '47 Outwork x Outroot headwear collection launches on March 29th, 2018.
