Browns launches exclusive ATP Atelier sandal

Luxury retailer Browns has teamed up with Stockholm-based accessories brand ATP Atelier to create an exclusive platform sandal for the summer.

The collaboration builds on ATP’s expertise as a sandal maker. Founded by friends Jonas Clason and Maj-La Pizzelli in 2010, the brand offers a luxury proposition that combines Scandi minimalism with a sustainable approach to leather shoes.

The brand focuses on Italian handmade leather goods, from boots to totes and small accessories, but the sandal has always been its hero product. Celebrating this heritage, the Browns collaboration sees the companies release a new silhouette, a platform flip-flop named Melitto.

The style comes in both black and white, and is made from vegetable tanned vacchetta, a sustainable leather that has been treated with plant-based agents. This means that the sandals are biodegradable and can be easily discarded at the end of their natural life.

“We wanted to create something new - still true to our classic ATP Atelier DNA, but adapted to the Brown’s Fashion customer. It resulted in a cool and chunky platform - not something trendy, but something that is going to be relevant for many years to come,” said Maj-La Pizzelli, creative director & co-founder of ATP Atelier.

ATP Atelier is available at luxury department stores and retailers including Harvey Nichols in the UK, Moda Operandi in the US and Boutique 1 in Dubai, but the Melitto will launch exclusively at Browns Fashion and via ATP’s own channels this month.
