Statement-making footwear designer Brian Atwood announced on Tuesday an exclusive 5 year licensing agreement with Jones Apparel Group.

Atwood will collaborate with Jones to create, produce, market and distribute B Brian Atwood, a new footwear and accessory line, retailing core products at $200 - $400 (boots @ $600).

High-end footwear brand B Brian Atwood will be initially launched in autumn 2011 in “better department stores” said the company’s statement. Ranges of handbags and jewellery will arrive in 2012.
Richard Dickson, Chief Executive Officer of Branded Businesses at Jones Apparel Group, stated, “Brian is an ideal fit to further expand Jones’ strategy of growing its brand talent and projecting own brand visionaries."

Since its founding in 2001, the Brian Atwood shoe label has been awarded with Swarovski's Perry Ellis Award for Accessory Design in 2003 and is currently sold globally at luxury retailers, such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Net-a-Porter.
