Borsalino announces agreement with Bollman Hat Company

Borsalino is looking to speed up its expansion in the United States. The historic Italian felt hat maker has announced a significant partnership with Bollman Hat Company for the exclusive distribution of its men's collection in North America.

The 5-year agreement will debut with the spring/summer 2015 collection, which will be available in the Bollman Hat's New York showroom on Fifth Avenue, stated the Italian house, which also shortly intends to entrust its new partner with the distribution of its women's collection in the United States.

The aim, for the Piedmont-based brand affected last year by a critical financial situation, is to give new impetus to its distribution in one of the biggest markets in the world," pointed out Borsalino's Managing Director, Marco Moccia.

Founded in 1868 in Adamstown, Pennsylvania, the Bollman Hat Company is one of the oldest hat makers in America. Today, the company produces and distributes several brands, such as Bailey, Helen Kaminski, Kangol, Betmar, Karen Kane, Jacaru, Country Gentleman, Eddy Bros. and Pantropic. In the case of Borsalino, it will only be responsible for its distribution.
