Bogart, the French firm specialising in perfumes and cosmetics, recorded a 20% jump in first half 2017 revenues for the period ending June 30, totalling 62.1 millions euros.

In detail, sales from the firms's multi-brand network and including perfumes (Bogart, Ted Lapidus and Carven, and labels under license Chevignon and Naf Naf) as well as cosmetics (Méthode Jeanne Piaubert, Stendhal and April), posted a turnover of € 20.7 million, down from 24.6 million euros in the same period last year.

Bogart's boutiques activity grew 53.6% to 40.7 million euros, following the acquisition of the German group HC Parfümerie in December, which owns 80 own stores and seven franchises.

Consolidated EBITDA amounted to 6.1 million euros in the first half of the year, while operating profit was 5.5 million euros and net profit was 3 million euros.

In the second half of the year, the French manufacturer and distributor has planned a new exclusive Carven collection to bow  this month as well as new fragrances Ted Lapidus and Jacques Bogart in the fourth quarter.

Bogart employs 1,117 people and is present in more than 90 countries, with overseas sales accounting for 74% of its revenues. In 2016, turnover amounted to more than 104 million euros.
