Black Diamond: Zeena Freeman leaves company

Having been named president of the outdoor company Black Diamond in August 2014, Zeena Freeman resigned on June 2. Having formerly served at Gap and Sony as CEO, she was also meant to succeed Peter Metcalf this month as CEO.

Peter Metcalf will assume responsibilities as president and CEO, to be supported by Aaron Kuehne, CFO of Black Diamond, and Mark Ritchie, the company’s operational director. 

Freeman’s departure comes after Diamond Back announced that it had enlisted the financial advisory firms Rothschild and Robert W. Baird & Co. to "explore strategic options for its brands Black Diamond, POC and PIEPS." 

During its 2014 fiscal year, Black Diamond saw sales grow by 15% to 181 million euros (193.1 million dollars).
