Anya Hindmarch launches home fragrance line

British designer brand Anya Hindmarch is venturing into the home fragrance market with the launch of an initial collection of three scented candles.

Developed in collaboration with perfumer Lyn Harris, the line has been titled ‘Anya Hindmarch Smells” and is part of the designer’s ongoing commitment to recreating the everyday into extraordinary objects.

Anya Hindmarch said the fragrances evoke happy memories of family summers spent in the sunshine, her morning routine and new born babies.

“I am beyond excited to launch my first project in the world of fragrance in the form of a collection of candles,” she said.

“This is part of a wider collection of fragrance ideas coming soon under the umbrella of 'Anya Smells'. My obsession has always been with the combination of playfulness, irreverence with the critical ingredient of craftsmanship. It was with this in mind that I embarked on 'Anya Hindmarch Smells' holding hands with one of the best perfumers in the business, Lyn Harris.”

The candles come in two sizes, 175g and 700g, and cost £50 and £150 respectively. They are exclusive to the business and were made in England using the finest raw materials and traditional techniques.

Taking cues from the humorous style Anya Hindmarch is known for, the pieces are finished with graphics from her sticker shop, such as oversized black & white eyes, speech bubbles with tongue-in-cheek phrases and a giant ‘Yes!’.
