Castore signs five-year kit deal with Rugby Union team Saracens

UK sportswear firm Castore has become principal kit supplier to England Rugby Union team Saracens. The five-year, multimillion-pound deal coincides with club’s return to the Rugby Premiership and marks the company’s first association with the league.

Launching on July 1, the deal will see Castore make bespoke design kits for the 2021/22 season, taking over the contract from sportswear giant Nike.

Castore will supply both the men’s and women’s teams, as well as the Saracens Mavericks Netball Superleague side, showcasing Castore’s “authentic, highly technical fabrics and bespoke designs”.

The kits will be revealed in late summer and will go on sale ahead of the new season in the official club store.

Lucy Wray, Saracens chief executive, said: “Castore [is] at the forefront of innovation with their sportswear and our values are very much aligned, so we are thrilled to be at the start of a ground-breaking partnership”.

Castore co-founder Tom Beahon added: “This marks our first step into English rugby, and we’re deeply proud to begin the journey with such a successful team and passionate fanbase.

“Together with the most successful women’s teams of our generation, they perfectly embody our 'Better Never Stops’ ethos and their tireless desire to perform and win makes them a perfect fit for Castore”.

Supplier agreements have seen Castore enjoy strong growth since its market debut in 2015. Its partnership portfolio includes football clubs Wolverhampton Wanderers and Glasgow Rangers, the McLaren Formula 1 racing team, rugby union teams Sydney Roosters, Melbourne Storm, and sportsmen Adam Peaty, Jos Buttler, Andy Murray and Owen Farrell.
