The lingerie and swimwear tradeshow witnessed attendance growth this season in Paris, compared to July 2016, where it was held for a once off in Lyon. Show organisers, Eurovet also noted an increase in luxury and lifestyle sports.

While no official number for attendance has been given for this edition, the figure would have however surpassed the 11,000 visitors counted a year earlier. The event's neighbour Mode City said it strengthened attendance by 18%, after making the move to the French capital too. The return to Paris saw the pair share Hall 1 in Porte de Versailles, Interfilière now occupying the left side of space. The move provided an increase in visibility and access to the tradeshow, and in particular, gave off the impression to guests that the show was larger previous years.

Visitors were again mostly international, France being the most represented on the exhibitor front with stalls that lined the corridors. Without divulging exact figures, Eurovet said Germany was the second most-represented nation, ahead of Italy, Spain and China. Chinese buyers, according to exhibitors, were particularly in search of luxury products and sportswear, which was largely the focus of this edition. The United States and Russia also increased in number, while the Netherlands came in eighth spot in terms of attendance by nation.

Some 280 exhibitors set up displays including Adidas, Esprit, Puma, Triumph and Wolford, American brands Gap, Nike, PVH and Limited Brands, and other firms such as Van de Velde, Calzedonia, Next and Hunkermöller. On the French front, firms included Chantelle, Etam, Decathlon and Simone Pérèle, as well as brands Aubade, Erès and Rouge Gorge.

The next Interfilière Paris edition will take place January 19 to 21, 2018. From here, the event moves to New York, September 27 and 28, before heading to Shanghai, October 10 and 11.
