Yours Clothing expands to Ireland with first store

Fast-expanding plus-size specialist Yours Clothing will open its first store in Ireland later this week. The opening will be a significant one for the firm as it will be its first wholly-owned international store.

The 4,700 sq ft location in The Square shopping centre in Tallaght will be one of the company’s biggest stores yet and will feature clothing, lingerie, footwear and accessories under the Yours Clothing brand as well as company-owned menswear label Bad Rhino, which offers large and tall sizes.

And the company plans to expand further in Ireland with plans for two more stores there this year as part of a wider store opening strategy that should see the opening of between 30 and 40 stores in total for 2018, despite the tough fashion retail environment.

As mentioned, the company is growing its retail footprint at breakneck speed and currently has 131 stores in the UK with 12 international franchise locations in the Middle East. It also ships to over 90 countries via its multiple language websites.

The new Irish store will be opened this Friday by model and blogger Louise O’Reilly with the company also offering free gifts, and competitions on the day to grab shopper attention.

Lats month Yours reported a 24% sales rise for the seven weeks to 7 January, helped by growing brand awareness in the UK and internationally.

It saw a Christmas sales record, boosted by a 42% year-on-year increase in e-tail sales. New country-specific websites for Germany and France, plus investment in marketing and tech, had driven international e-tail sales up by 100%.
