The fashion-forward company has invested in the Incite platform by app-based communications firm Multimedia Plus.

The technology is expected to help the company’s sales associates and improve their skill set by delivering ongoing, day-to-day communications and training on subjects such as product knowledge, new up-selling and cross-selling opportunities, problem-solving techniques, professional and management development, and more.

“Technology in the retail industry is changing rapidly, yet exceeding customer expectations never goes out of style. This program will help Steve Madden’s team put their best foot forward by focusing on an enhanced in-store experience with passionate sales associates who have intimate knowledge of products and drive engagement on the selling floor,” explained David Harouche, Founder, CEO and CTO of Multimedia Plus, in a news statement.

The platform will be equipped with features such as video without streaming, a fully branded experience, drag-and-drop publishing, and real-time results.

Steve Madden expects to see a 5 to 7 percent increase in sales this year compared to 2017.

The company’s net income in its last reported quarter rose to $28.7 million, compared to $20.2 million in the same period in the previous year.
