Olivela names Kristen Sosa as Chief Merchant

Olivela this month named former Saks Fifth Avenue executive Kristen Sosa as Chief Merchant. The appointment comes one month after the philanthropic retailer launched e-commerce.
 

Founded by Stacey Boyd, Olivela offers women’s shoes, bags and accessories from luxury labels such as Givenchy, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, and Marc Jacobs, with all sales going to charities that help children around the world.
 
The retailer hires Northeastern University graduate Sosa, who spent much of her career at Saks. She served as SVP Merchandising for Saks Off 5th, VP of Saks Direct, and VP/DMM of Men’s in this decade, and also worked at Gilt as Chief Merchant. Sosa also served as VP of Merchandising at Bluefly for a short period. 

Sosa's expertise with luxury designers and merchandise should prove beneficial for Olivela.
