Millie Bobby Brown: rising fashion star

The fashion industry has a new star in its sights -- 13-year-old actress Millie Bobby Brown.

Earlier this month, it was reported by Elle that the "Stranger Things" star had been snapped up by modelling agency IMG, famous for counting names such as Gigi and Bella Hadid, Karlie Kloss and Gisele on its books. Fashion superstardom surely awaits. But who exactly is the newest girl on the scene?

The British teenager shot to fame last year with her breakthrough role in the Netflix sci-fi horror series "Stranger Things," in which she plays the part of Eleven, a girl with psychokinetic abilities. But it was her subsequent red carpet appearances that gave her the opportunity to demonstrate a flawless sense of style that put her swiftly on the fashion radar. She favors a mixture of heritage and contemporary brands, wearing Burberry mini dresses, Valentino gowns and Jenny Packham numbers easily, offsetting the glamour with minimal accessories and her impish cropped hairstyle.

It didn't take long for the designers to come knocking at the door. In January, she was unveiled as the star of Raf Simons' debut fashion campaign for Calvin Klein By Appointment, modeling a pair of scarlet trousers and a multicolored fringed top. Last September Nicolas Ghesquière posted a photo of her and her co-stars hanging out with him at the Louis Vuitton headquarters in Paris. And a little over a week ago she shared a snap of herself modelling Chuck Taylors for the latest Converse campaign.

So what's next for the budding fashionista? While she is too young to take to the catwalk just yet, there is no doubt that we are about to start seeing a lot more of the industry's new protégée.
