Maje launches app for customers and sales teams

French fashion retailer Maje, belonging to the SMCP group, has recently launched the e-Maje app, designed to make digital tools play a key role in the customers' in-store experience. The app was developed together with PredictSpring, a start-up specialised in digital solutions for consumer brands, and the Salesforce Commerce Cloud, a digital application which links up online and physical stores.

Maje has launched an app for its customers and sales teams - Instagram @majeofficiel

E-Maje was conceived as a genuine digital store, and was recently launched in 60 of the label's shops in France, the USA and the UK. The app allows Maje shop assistants to respond more effectively to their customers' needs, for example by providing information on the preferences of the customer being served (their previous online purchases, the existence and composition of any purchasing basket on the Maje website, their payment method preferences, etc.).

The app also carries data about the e-store's and neighbouring stores' stock levels, in order to avoid out-of-stock and to fine-tune procurement and stock policies for smaller stores. If a product is needed immediately, the sales team also has the option of having it delivered directly to the customer's home.

The SMCP group boosted its growth in the third quarter 2017, and Flavien d’Audiffret, the group's Digital and CRM Director said: "Our stores remain at the core of SMCP's strategy and, through this partnership with PredictSpring, we are able to provide a premium digital experience in-store, both for our sales team and our customers."

The app will in fact give Maje customers the opportunity of strengthening their connection with the brand, as the latest lookbooks, social media posts and information on Maje will be available on e-Maje.
