LIM College opens registration for 2017 Summer Fashion Lab

LIM College on Wednesday opened registration for the 2017 Summer Fashion Lab program for high school and visiting college students. A one-week program exclusively for students ages 11 through 13 is also available this year.

Last year, LIM College extended its Summer Fashion Lab to pre-teens. The weeklong program will include new workshops this year, as well as a guest speaker, a fashion-related field trip, and presentations on topics such as merchandising, buying, visual merchandising and styling.
 
The 2017 Summer Fashion Lab will run for four weeks for high school and college students and will feature new one-week offerings, including a hands-on workshop on sustainability in the fashion business, global fashion marketing courses, 3D drawing, and a new “Fashion Editor’s Eye,” where participants assume the duties of a fashion editor such as laying out fashion editorials and promoting them online.

LIM College expects to enroll over 400 students for the 2017 Summer Fashion Lab, which will mark as a record for the program. In 2016, students from the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong and Washington State participated in the program.
 
The Summer Fashion Lab will run on the week of June 26-30 and July 10-14, 17-21, and 24-28, and the one-week program for pre-teens will run from July 10-14.
