Californian fashion label Juicy Couture has appointed Jamie Mizrahi, the designer darling of many US screen stars, as its new Creative Director, succeeding Roi Elfassy.

The first collection designed for the label by the high priestess of Hollywood fashion will be available in spring 2018.

"Brands pay designers and celebrities to collaborate with them, so why not go straight to the source?" said Nick Woodhouse, President and Marketing Director of the Authentic Brands Group. "Jamie herself has a significant social media community, and so do her customers. The current generation is highly influenced by celebrities, and consequently has a keen eye for what fits with Juicy's lifestyle."

Katy Perry, Nicole Richie, Riley Keough, Suki Waterhouse and Jessica Alba are among the many stars dressed by the Californian designer.
