Fashion SVP rides athleisure trend with new focus at June show

Published
Jun 5, 2017

Fashion SVP, the UK’s unique apparel sourcing event, is jumping on the athleisure trend in response to the sector’s significant growth.

The June show will present athleisure wear manufacturers from a variety of countries, including Portugal's Ruanjo - Photo: Ruanjo

Launching at the June show is ‘Athleisure Pace’, a special feature comprising a garment display of leading active and athleisure producers, as well as an interactive feature on performance and technical fabrics. The latter, a first for the trade show, will be specially curated in co-operation with Citeve, Portugal's key Technological Institute providing support and services to companies working in the textile and clothing markets.

The area will introduce high performance fabrics for the first time at the show and create a space where visitors can find out all the information they need about performance fabrics, outdoor and sports applications, sustainability and fitness.

“Athleisure is growing at an exciting rate and consumers are demanding innovative ideas and designs from the brands. We’re delighted to respond to this fast-moving trend by providing show visitors with up to the minute information and advice about how, where and what to source,” said Fashion SVP director Buzz Carter.

The trade show taking place on 27-28 June at Olympia London will present products from labels including Eustilija, Pamela Mann, Ruanjo and Sirious Textile. This year, the show will be 40% larger with more than 60 new manufacturers.
