Erin Parsons is named global makeup artist for Maybelline

Parsons is the personal makeup artist for Gigi Hadid, who has been a face of Maybelline since 2015. Having already worked on many Maybelline campaigns starring Hadid, Parsons will now take on a more official role at the cosmetics brand.

 
As a global makeup artist for the makeup giant, Parsons will oversee Maybelline’s looks at New York Fashion Week and have some creative control over the makeup looks used in upcoming Maybelline campaigns. Parsons is also hoping to be able to develop new products in her role at Maybelline.
 
Parsons, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, got her start at makeup counters before going on to assist legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath. She would like as well to take some of her experience with high-fashion looks to a mainstream brand like Maybelline.

Maybelline was founded in 1915 in New York City, and is now owned by French cosmetics giant L'Oréal. It frequently taps top models like Hadid to front its campaigns, but the drugstore makeup brand has also more recently taken notice of the importance of the social media audience. In January, the brand announced online makeup star Manny Gutierrez, who runs the popular YouTube channel Manny Mua, as its newest ambassador.
